Located inside Laguna, a former textile factory at Colonia Doctores, The New Sanctuaries shares a location with other creative-focused ventures.

The intention to have a showroom and workshop within the same space was a way of keeping the project analogous to the products explored and developed. It is a space where re-purposed and raw elements play the main role, reminding whoever experiences the space that design can be found in the simplest forms. Remnant concrete blocks from the retrofit of the building are used to re-imagine multiple configurations. The carved marble, from local origin, used the centuries-old trade of stone carving from the zone of Texcoco, showcasing the various geological states and the labor required to transform it into an object of use and sculpture. Minimal intentions are composed of the interaction amongst water, reflections, transparencies, carved marble, concrete blocks, and plain metal shelves. The result is a space that is impermanent, imperfect, incomplete, and in constant adaptation.
